The Cribs

Already hailed the "mightiest punk band in Britain" by NME, UK punk trio The Cribs arrive state-side next month for a tour that lands in Philadelphia on Fri, August 10 at Johnny Brendas in support of their debut US album "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever," produced by Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand and due for a US release on Tues, July 17th.

THE CRIBS ANNOUNCE AMERICAN SUMMER TOUR

(Burbank, CA) - Explosive UK punk trio, THE CRIBS have confirmed their Summer tour in the US beginning July 23 in San Diego, crossing the country and ending in Washington, DC on August 11. Two shows in Chicago have been announced, including a stop at this year's annual Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park. Since their last whirlwind US visit in May, their new album, MEN'S NEEDS, WOMEN'S NEEDS, WHATEVER, entered the UK charts at #13, spawned a hit single with the first single, "Men's Needs," and completed a pair of riotous headline-grabbing tours. THE CRIBS will play the esteemed Glastonbury Festival in the UK this coming weekend. Meanwhile in the US, THE CRIBS' first album for Warner Bros. Records will be released July 17^th, but is already garnering critical acclaim. Rolling Stone called the album "A holler-along Brit-punk gem," and awarded the album 4 Stars. Hard-core collectors will be pleased to know that MEN'S NEEDS, WOMEN'S NEEDS, WHATEVER is available right now digitally and also on 12" vinyl with a bonus CD of the album included in the package at no additional cost.

As previously announced, THE CRIBS will kick-off their American visit by appearing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on the day of the album's release, July 17^th. On the West Coast, THE CRIBS have just confirmed a live performance on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson for July 24^th. (Check local listings for details).
