Of the EP Time Out NY remarks in an early review that on "the stellar 'Other Girls,' a remarkable falsetto rides atop classic funk-pop, and 'Are You Sensation' has Talking Heads-Style guitar riffs and a softly harmonized chorus." Recently featured in Rolling Stone magazine’s “On The Edge” column, and as Rollingstone.com’s first ever “Artist To Watch”, The unsigned New York – via – Northampton, MA 4-Piece have been in the studio non stop, writing and recording new material. When not spending late night sessions crouched over the boards they’ve been playing dates across the country, recently completing their first West Coast jaunt.
The band has shared the stage with everyone from M.I.A. and Jamie Lidell to Serena Maneesh and Bird Monster, and has picked up raves in local and national press. USA Today's Pop Candy Blog highlighted Tigercity, comparing them to The Police and Roxy Music, while Flavorpill NYC wrote "The Brooklyn quartet churns out pitch-perfect electro-pop...Tigercity incite instant nostalgia (while keeping enough of an edge to stay au courant) and a raucous dance party" and Music For Robots blogged "Let me introduce you to your new favorite band...This is everything that we've been talking about for years in one shoe-shuffling sharkskin sensation", adding "This is Hall 'n Oates for the non-ironic set."
