 | Greetings from Tricycle Records,
After a long rest after SXSW and the great success of The Bay Area Takeover, we are gearing up for a rock filled summer. With the addition of two great new bands and a few new releases in the works, plan on seeing a lot of Tricycle Records in the next few months.
May is the month to rock!
May 10th, 11th and 12thThe Blacks hit NYC with a residency at Pianos and the debut of The Tambourine Experiment: three consecutive nights, one hundred tambourines, and one mess of a dance-pit. Recorded live and on video. May 14th The Blacks cross the bridge to Brooklyn to Union Pool for a show with UK band, The Heavy.
May 17th The Frail is playing Pop Roxx at DNA with Mario Muse (Lacquer), BaconMonkey (Meat), Six (Club Bender) and my favorite Popscene boys Aaron and Omar. Hosted by Michael Sparkle.
Admission is free with RSVP Email The Frail for guest listing at: thefrailsf@gmail.com
May 23rd The Blacks bring the Tambourine Experiment to San Francisco with Von Iva at Bottom of the Hill. You think the dance pit in NYC will be a mess, just wait until Von Iva gets their hot hands on those tambourines. Don't be left watching it from the street. Get tickets presale at www.bottomofthehill.com.
May 24th The Blacks head to Sacramento to play the Punk Rock Prom at Blue Lamp with our favorite Sacramento band, The Snobs, Voodoo Organist, Helper Monkeys.
May 30th Tricycle Records proudly sponsors Cookie Clock at Space Gallery, a local art show brought to you by our friends at FUZZ.COM. Featuring the visual arts of the Tricycle crew. Photography by co-founder Julie Schuchard, paintings by co founder Don Joslin, Luisa Black and JDK Blacker (The Blacks), Daniel Lannon (The Frail), and work from Tricycle creative designers Heather Wyville (Wyville Design) and Piper Lewine (The Print Factor). Come enjoy free sushi from Blowfish Sushi and the wonderful art of those in the local music industry!
