The Voice of Grey's Anatomy: Ingrid Michaelson

As I watching the Grey's Anatomy finale I kept thinking, "Wait, it's Ingrid again." I think I heard her two or three times throughout the 2 hour finale.

I turned to my wife and said, "Ingrid is the voice of Grey's Anatomy." Really, she is. She's already been on the a finale of Grey's Anatomy last season and she's done it again. AGAIN!

Though I do have a soft spot for Ingrid, it became a bit predictable and frankly a bit boring - even though I love her and her music. What artist do you think should be on Grey's Anatomy?

She'll be back in San Francisco on June 22nd. Be sure and get your tickets soon - she sold out last time.

Independent songstress Ingrid Michaelson’s previously unreleased track “Giving Up” was featured on the season finale of ABC’s hit show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ last night, marking the second year in a row an unreleased song of hers has been featured on the show’s highly-anticipated season-ender. Last year, her “Keep Breathing” aired over the last scene of the finale, resulting in Michaelson and her lyrics becoming the #1 and #2 most-searched for items on Google and helping to launch her self-released album, Girls and Boys, into the iTunes Top 100. Since then and over the past year, the album has sold over 210,000 albums and nearly 700,000 digital downloads of her single “The Way I Am.” “Giving Up” is available now on iTunes.

Michaelson, who was recently chosen as the only musician to help launch Google’s Friend Connect service, will embark on her first major headlining tour next month, beginning June 1st in Philadelphia, PA at The Fillmore at TLA. She will support Dave Matthews Band in late July and also perform at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, the Mile High Festival, Bumbershoot, and Austin City Limits.
