This post has been a long time coming. We actually found Molly Jenson when we were reading LAist's "KGRL's Top 10 Artists to Watch Out for in 2008" back in January. We checked out Jenson's MySpace page and instantly fell in love with her music. Fast forward to June: we get a surprise email from Jenson herself, so we jumped on the opportunity to ask her some of our favorite questions. (We all need to know if she uses a PC, right? This is important stuff! By the way, she doesn't. She's a three-exclamation-points-Mac girl!!! Our kind of girl!) Her new album comes out in October and we are highly looking forward to it. It's going to be released as a joint venture with Bully! Pulpit Records and recording veterans Nettwerk Music Group (Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne and The Cardigans). If you are into Sara Bareilles, Priscilla Ahn or Ingrid Michaelson then check out Molly Jenson. She'll be right up your ally.
If you are in L.A. on July 11th, then check out Jenson's show at Hotel Cafe. She'll be playing with Greg Laswell, White Buffalo and Cary Brothers. It should be a fantastic show. (We love Cary Brothers!)
Now, it's time for you to get to know Molly Jenson a little bit better. If you have any other questions/comments, be sure to let us know because we have a feeling Molly might just be checking in!
