It was the summer of 1999 when Napster made its debut, Woodstock was celebrated in New York and Sisqo bleached his hair and introduced us to the, "Thong Song". All summer long Sisqo demanded to see that thong tha thong thong thong.
And we delivered.
It was reported that Victoria’s Secret sold nearly 20 million thongs in 1999. According to the Billboard charts the, "Thong Song" received the most airplay accumulating 9 million listeners, who probably jammed out in their thongs. The "Thong Song", however, wasn’t just a one-hit wonder. Sisqo’s album entitled, Unleash the Dragon, released by Def Jam Records, went on to sell four million copies in the United States.
Okay, so why bring up some butt floss, which commended Sisqo’s debut as a solo artist? Well it’s summertime of course!
For those who are vacationing in the Bahamas, Miami, Mexico or just relaxing at the local swimming pool in the neighborhood, think back to 1999. It’s time to bust out that thong…

I wonder where it went? I guess CDs are too easily lost..
