Mp3 of the Day: Friendly Fires "Jump in the Pool"

At first listen, we weren't sure if we wanted to do some Latin dancing, mosh pit, bob our heads, or literally, jump into the pool. (It is the perfect summer song, after all.) With one listen, we've decided they are our new favorite band.

Friendly Fires, born of commuter belt boredom, are now one of the most exciting new bands coming from the UK. Their self-titled debut album will be out September 19th. Ed Macfarlane (vocals, synths, bass), Edd Gibson (guitar) and Jack Savidge (drums) met at school and formed their first band when they were 14.

They will be supporting Lykke Li (one of MCMB's favorites) on her upcoming tour. They'll be in San Francisco on November 1st. You've got to get tickets for that one! Got to!
