Mp3 of the Day: East Hundred "Slow Burning Crimes"

East Hundred's biography so far represents an amalgam of established rock traditions, starting with a founding by two brothers and continuing through the subsequent end of one sibling's relationship with the group's female singer. Such troubled, often productive trajectories have been traced from Fleetwood Mac to No Doubt, and East Hundred similarly uses personal vacillation as material for mostly traditional five-piece rock led by a distinctive female voice.

"Slow Burning Crimes," a mid-tempo and directly contemplative track, has been posted on the band's MySpace along with five more songs from their debut LP, Passenger. Officially due January 13, the album is available for order now at the East Hundred Store.
