New Tunes Tuesday #63 (New Writer Today!)
Today, we have a new columnist for New Tunes Tuesday: Muhammad Usman. Inga Buchbinder, our last columnist has left MCMB, but Usman is ready to take over. Please welcome him!!
Chemical Warfare - The Alchemist
As far as producers go, the last major release by a hip hop producer was probablyTimbaland's Shock Value. That's been awhile, now The Alchemist comes with his sophomore album, Chemical Warfare. The rapper-rich album features all but one songs produced by The Alchemist himself. Featuring rappers like the legendary Kool G Rap,Eminem, KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Fabolous, Twista, Three 6 Mafia, and many others, this album sounds well-produced and very dynamic. The eponymous song "Chemical Warfare" features Eminem, which is a great combination of a great beat and a great rapper.
Party Rock - LMFAO
LMFAO, that's the group's name, and surprisingly their album isn't called LOL or ROFL.Party Rock is the debut album by the electro-hop DJs-rappers duo. from Hollywood, CA. Almost everyone had heard "I'm in Miami Bitch" on the radio sometime in the last 3 months, well after releasing their EP, which was just short of the whole album, LMFAO dropped their album today with a lot of good electro-hop songs. This album creates a really good mix of hip hop and electro which these two DJs do a great job of putting together. One random song that I was suprised to see on the album is "Shots" which features the now overrated producer Lil' Jon.
Nothing Personal - All Time Low
After two years, All Time Low released their third full-length album, Nothing Personal. Most of the album doesn't sound like the singles released in the past three months. Some of my personal favorites are "Lost in Stereo" and "Stella" which actually sound a lot different than the singles. All Time Low has had two full-length albums and two EPs before this album. If you're a big fan of Pop Punk, this album does a damned good job of putting together some great instruments and lyrics, from upbeat to slower songs, it has most of them.
