New Tunes Tuesday #69

Music for the week of 9/01/09 includes...

Before the Frost...Until the Freeze - The Black Crowes
An interesting release from The Black Crowes, the album is actually a two part "procedure." First you buy Before the Frost...part of the album and then it gives you a download code to get ...Until the Freeze from the internet. Interesting as it might seem, the album was also recorded before a live audience and has been produced thoroughly to sound great.
This album is a must for Black Crowes fans, I really enjoyed listening to it, the songs are well put together and you will find out as soon as you hear both parts of the album. A total of 20 tracks does a darn good job!

Ready - Trey Songz
Fans anticipating Ready shouldn't be disappointed, the music produced by a few different producers (most of the album's produced by Troy Taylor). The singles released from this album include, the official "I need a Girl" and "Successful" featuring Drake. As all his album, this also brings in featured artists mainly rappers to further the lyrical content of Songz' music. This album's preceded by the mixtape Anticipation, which surely sounds like a mixtape but has a lot of music you wouldn't hear on his studio albums. Songz is also due to release a mixtape later this year with records from his young age, in the pursuit of being a professional singer.

Artwork - The Used
The Used have come a long way to set their music genres, ranging all kinds of alternative rock, they've started to settle. Artwork was meant to create a similar sound to earlier Weezer albums, particularly Pinkerton. This they hoped to do with the help of producer Cuomo, which never happened because the album is produced by Matt Squire. The band has picked up a new drummer, Dan Whitesides, for this album. They've also started to sound more messier with this album, emo-ish and a mix of a few genres put together yet not like their older albums. The album was said to sound a new genre "gross pop," according to the band. This album can't get much judgment from me because The Used is great at varying their music, check it out for yourself!
