The historic Ryman is such a venue that magic happens regardless of whom is playing. It’s a magic that is palpable to every artist that graces its stage to sing to crowds of music savvy critics. Train was no different, and those leaving the hallowed halls after the concert felt a love affair with singer/front man Pat Monahan.
The historic Ryman is such a venue that magic happens regardless of whom is playing. It’s a magic that is palpable to every artist that graces its stage to sing to crowds of music savvy critics. Train was no different, and those leaving the hallowed halls after the concert felt a love affair with singer/front man Pat Monahan.
It was no coincidence either. His voice is amazing and with great pop rock ballads to sing like "Hey Soul Sister" and "Words"; he melts the hearts of all those crooning women. He romantically proposed to the city of Nashville and sang to them as if in each person’s living room. He borrowed fan’s cameras and took pictures of himself with the fans behind – something akin to honeymoon photos.
The band itself was tight and allowed room for Monahan to do his thing, supporting anyway they could. Though a “band,” Pat Monahan certainly makes Train tick. He worked the Ryman stage better than I’ve seen, and certainly worked the fans, old and young, new and seasoned, into his own little Pat Monahan world.
Even without the magic of the Ryman, this concert would have been incredible. It either solidified veteran love affairs with the band, or began a new love. If you haven’t seen them in concert, it would be in your best interest to buy you and your loved one a ticket. I promise you won’t regret that decision.

Really it’s a superior job done by train. Awesome concert he has done here. It is too exciting; I will certainly take a look at that type of concerts.
